Minimalist telescopic shelf Alea
The minimalist telescopic shelf Alea suggests delicacy and dynamism. Its sculptural design exudes graceful fluidity, blending art and function in a way reminiscent of Louise Nevelson’s sculpted paintings. The five small shelves in different shapes extend from the central stem and seem to float around its delicate axis.
Its name Alea is inspired by avant-garde music and means “a margin of chance for the performer”.

It is in the freedom of personal vision and mood that one decides the order and position of its components, changing and rearranging through time, as in music composition.
There are no positions or systems to be followed, the geometric elements attach freely along the pipe.
We craft the shelves by hand from thin metal foil sheets cut into different shapes. You can fix them at any height. The telescopic floor/ceiling fixture allows for easy adaptation to any height without the need for drilling.
Our aspiration with this limited edition artwork is to deliver a feeling of personal interpretation in a play of sculptural aesthetics and graphic minimalism.
It is in this way that the minimalist telescopic shelf Alea becomes an expression of its symbolic legacy: A powerful decor statement for any interior.
